Hi! I am Helen.
I am a mother of 5: 4 boys and 1 girl. Motherhood has been an amazing journey for me, but like you, I know it’s not always easy. This is why when I learned that I was going to have twin grandkids while my son (their dad) undergoes cancer treatment, I knew I had to pitch in. I took a course in child care. I wanted to make sure I was equipped with both the knowledge and confidence in caring for two newborn babies at the same time. It is hard work, but I love taking care of kids, and these were my first grandchildren, so I’m thankful to have been given the chance to care for them and be a big part of their development during our family’s difficult time.

That was 13 years ago.
By the time my third grandchild came, I was already juggling taking care of my grandchildren and relieving for my baby nurse friends. Staying up all night to keep up with the baby’s schedule is not a problem for me. A pediatrician taught me the key secret in sleep training a baby: putting him/her on a schedule from day one. While this sounds easy enough, it takes a lot of effort to actually maintain that schedule. Life does get in the way, and especially for first time parents, there’s a lot of adjustment in mindset, environment, and lifestyle. This is where I come in. I’m your partner in taking care of your precious baby, and this will greatly help you for a smooth transition to your new journey as parents.
My Baby Nurse Certification came from the various courses I took in the Newborn Training Academy, where I am now studying for International Accreditation. Even with more than 10 years of experience, I never want to stop learning. Not every case is the same, especially when I cared for twins and triplets. I love sharing new tips and techniques with my clients. I also took the Sleep Trainor/Sleep Consultant course from Summer Hartman. This has helped me and my clients greatly as I can now promise to have their babies sleep through the night (from 7:30pm-7:00am) at 12 weeks. Currently, I am now training to become a Certified Postpartum Doula.

More than being able to shower these precious babies some tender loving care, it has been equally fulfilling to me than to see my partners (aka precious baby’s parents) able to get their much needed sleep and rest, as well as emotional support.
I will care for your baby like my own. It does take a village to raise a child. I would love to be a part of yours.
